Site Supervision

Quality control & handover

Quality is checked during the works, not only at the end. Performance BTP verifies each phase and secures the handover — the legal act that triggers your warranties.

Checking as you go

Each trade is validated before the next begins: wall plumb, waterproofing before tiling, circuits tested before closing up. This progressive control prevents an initial defect from ending up buried and undetectable under later layers.

Objective criteria

"Looks fine" is not enough. Control relies on measurable criteria (flatness, plumb, alignment, function) and on the tolerances set by technical standards. Beyond them, it is a defect to be corrected — and it is the supervisor's role to require it.

Handover, a key legal step

Handover starts the warranties (completion, two-year, ten-year). Performance BTP prepares it with a thorough inspection and records reservations in writing. Accepting defective work without reservation means losing your leverage to have it corrected.

📍 Real-world example

At the handover of a site in the Paris region, systematic control found around ten reservations invisible at first glance (joints, fixings, adjustments). Recorded in writing, they were all corrected before final payment. Without that rigour, they would have stayed the owner's burden.

💡
Performance BTP tip

Never release the final payment before all reservations are cleared. The retention guarantee (often 5%) is perfectly legal and is your best leverage to obtain corrections. A rushed handover is paid for over years.
