Funding your training as a construction professional in 2026: the complete guide to OPCO, CPF and regional grants

Thousands of euros in training funding available — and most tradespeople don't use it. Here's how to unlock these funds easily.

In France, construction tradespeople have access to several little-known training funding mechanisms. According to Constructys (the construction sector OPCO), only 23% of small construction businesses use their training entitlements each year. A considerable missed opportunity.

1. The CPF (Personal Training Account)
Accessible at moncompteformation.gouv.fr, it funds certified or qualifying training. In 2026, the average balance per active worker is €800 to €2,500. Eligible training in construction: commercial management, management, digital skills, languages, technical certifications (CACES, working at height).

2. Constructys — Construction OPCO
Your OPCO if you work in construction. Constructys funds training for companies with fewer than 50 employees through the skills development plan. Process: contact your regional Constructys advisor (constructys.fr/nous-contacter), present your training project, obtain pre-approval before enrolling. Allow 3 to 6 weeks.

3. France Num — Digital grant
For digital training (website creation, social media, CRM, Google Ads), the France Num scheme offers a €500 digital voucher for micro-businesses. Conditions: fewer than 11 employees, operating in France, eligible sector (construction qualifies).

Our operational advice
Before paying for training out of pocket, systematically call: your regional Constructys, your CMA (Chamber of Trades — artisanat.fr), and check your CPF balance. In 70% of cases, training can be fully or partially funded at no cost to you.
